Wetspot Watersports supplied an enormous range of quality water sports equipment and accessories carefully selected to enhance time on the water. No matter what water sport you were into, you could find what you needed at Wetspot.
Employing only water sport lovers with tons of experience and enthusiasm. Scott created a place where like-minded enthusiasts gathered, purchased new equipment or upgraded existing, repaired or maintained their craft and took advantage of special offers and information.
Every type of kayak you could want was either in stock for your appraisal or could be ordered quickly at the old shop. We also stocked Canoes and accessories. You knew you would receive sound advice on your purchase, and could even try before you bought.
Wetspot had a sensational surf section including stand up paddle boards, as well as wake boards and biscuits for fast paced family fun. There was also wind surfing gear, including boards, sails and accessories (and Scott can stil;l access this gear for locals).
Snorkelling and spear fishing gear was also available in store with several options to meet the conditions and purpose of your adventures and a huge spectrum of accessories such as clothing, repair kits, safety gear, water proof cameras for action footage, storage supplies and heaps more.
Our workshop supplied repairs and maintenance, installation of new fixtures and accessories, and of course, plenty of dependable advice, training and connections with interest groups to fully appreciate new gear. As a result of their connection with community, charity and government groups, Wetspot Water Sports was a highly regarded hub for the Canberra water sports community. Providers of prizes, sponsorship and leadership for Burley Griffin Canoe Club both for day to day activities and special events, and a supplier of major prizes for the Carp Out fishing competition, just to name a couple. We also supported local scout and guide groups.
Wetspot also held information nights from time to time at the old shop, where experts presented informative, motivational and fun sessions on selected water related subjects or water sports equipment.
